In the movie “The Secret” they talk about the Law of Attraction which is also the law of vibration: you are what you attract. Vibration is one of the laws of the universe. That law states that everything moves, nothing ever stays the same or rests. We live in an ocean of motion. When you take a positive idea and internalize it you move into a positive vibration and you begin to attract like energy to you.
The Law of Vibration states that anything that exists in our universe, whether seen or unseen, broken down into and analyzed in its purest and most basic form, consists of pure energy or light which resonates and exists as a vibratory frequency or pattern. All matter, thoughts and feelings has its own vibrational frequency. The thoughts, feelings and actions we choose also have their own particular rates of vibration. In other words, your thoughts are inseparably connected to the rest of the universe. Like attracts like. As you choose good thoughts, more good thoughts of alike nature will follow and you will also be in vibrational harmony with others with like thoughts.
Everything in the universe is ultimately composed of energy. Quantum physicists has shown that, although matter may appear to be solid, when you look at it through a high-powered microscope so that it is broken down into its smallest components: molecules, atoms, neutrons, electrons and quanta (the smallest particles measurable), it is ultimately mostly empty space interspersed with energy. So, in essence everything is comprised of energy and empty space. The denser the object, the higher the speed of vibration. At the same time, the lower the density of an object is, the lower the speed of vibration.
For us, thought is where it all begins. As your conscious mind dwells habitually on thoughts of a certain quality, these become firmly imbedded within the subconscious mind. They become the dominant vibration. This dominant vibration sets up a resonance with other similar vibrations and draws them into your life. This is easier to understand if you consider that from the metaphysical view, the whole universe is mind. In turn, your vibrations affect everything around you – your environment, the people, the animals, the inanimate objects, even the seemingly ‘empty’ space around you – and they, in turn, affect you.
We usually are relatively quickly influenced by the vibration of other people, things, and sounds. Your feeling at the present moment dictates your vibration. It is said that feeling is a word to define conscious awareness of vibration. So your feelings at the moment is your vibration you are in which sets up things of like nature. Positive feelings = positive circumstance, negative feelings = negative circumstances.
Conversely, the Law of Cause and Effect states that absolutely everything happens for a reason. All actions have consequences and produce specific results, as do all inactions. The choices we make are causes, whether they are conscious or unconscious, and will produce corresponding outcomes or effects. The Law works the same for everyone at all times.
Distilled down to the simplest possible terms, this Law states that for every outcome or effect in one’s life, there is a specific cause; poor diet and exercise habits result in poor health, constant and uncontrolled spending results in debt and money worries, not putting effort into your key relationships results in poor relationships and all of the associated issues.
The law can also be applied in the physical sense through examination of Sir Isaac Newton’s Third Law of Motion, which states that “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” If, for example, you were to hold your hand over a candle’s flame (the cause) the effect would be that your hand would burn and it would hurt! While this is an extreme example, it serves to illustrate the point very well.
Consider another situation – imagine that your organization is so successful that you cannot keep up with the demand – a nice problem to have! Eventually, the levels of customer service deteriorate as your staff attempts to cope with the problem. You receive complaints and employee morale begins to suffer. At this point, you have a choice to make – try to muddle through with the existing situation or hire more people. This is a difficult decision as there are many unknowns when hiring – will you get the right person, will they be part of the solution or part of the problem, what will happen to your cash flow etc.
Whichever decision you make becomes the cause – either you hire or don’t. The effect is the result of the decision. If you hired someone, there should be some relief for your existing staff, and your customers should become happier with your service. If the decision was to not hire, the effect would likely be dissatisfied, and eventually, lost customers and potentially lost employees as well – unless you can find another solution (cause) to implement. This is a recipe for disaster which could easily see the organization fail altogether – the ultimate effect.
The same holds true with your personal relationships. If you treat the important people in your life with respect, love, compassion, dignity and honesty (cause), you will experience loving, solid relationships – which lead to happiness, fulfillment and peace of mind (effect).
The truly wonderful thing about this law is that by definition then, we should be able to manifest that which we truly want (the effect) simply by exerting the same causes that others before us have exerted and been successful.
