Everything in the universe has its opposite. You have a right and left side to your body, a front and back. Every up has a down and every down has an up. The law of Polarity not only states that everything has an opposite …it is equal and opposite. If it was 3 feet from the floor up on to the table, it would be 3 feet from the table down to the floor. If it is 150 miles from Manchester to London, by law it must be 150 miles from London to Manchester; it could not be any other way.
If something you considered bad happens in your life, there has to be something good about it. If it was only a little bad, when you mentally work your way around to the other side, you will find it will only be a little good.
Every situation JUST IS, you make it negative or positive by virtue of how you choose to think about the situation. When you look at the situation one way and it is negative, you can change your perspective and look at it from the opposite viewpoint and find, it will be positive.
The law of polarity states that in any situation there must be an opposite – you just have to look for it. The same goes for people. Constantly look for the good in people. When you find it, tell the person. People love compliments and the positive idea in your mind makes you feel good. Remember, a good idea equals a good vibration.
In Thomas Merton’s epiphany moment he became suddenly aware that everyone around him was shining like the sun. He was aware that although he didn’t know any of the people he realized that he loved them – that their essence is of God.
If we were to see each other like this all the time there would be no war, hatred, cruelty or greed.
The only problem with seeing each other this way is that we all might fall down and worship one another. It is worth taking that risk as the risk of adoring one another is greater and better than the risk of ignoring/harming/exploiting/hating one another.
Everything is on a continuum and everything has an opposite. We can suppress and transform undesirable thoughts by concentrating on the opposite pole. It is the law of mental vibrations. We can see that you cannot have a left without a right, an up without a down, failure and success, a good without a bad and so on, it is a world of duality. However, these opposites have no absolutes, there is not one point where you can say one starts and the other begins, it is a scale range.
